The Iggywick Basket Saddle

Firstly, thank you so much for buying an Iggywick Basket Saddle. We hope that you will love it as much as we do, and that it will become a family heirloom for you.

Here are some guidelines and the boring disclaimer.

YOU USE THIS SADDLE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Below are some useful tips that we have found to keep our children as safe and happy as possible while using the basket saddle.

  1. (The most important) Find a safe, steady, unflappable and kind horse, pony or donkey.

  2. The child needs to be supervised at all times by a responsible adult on the ground.

  3. Ensure the saddle is fitted correctly. Please see Instagram for photos and videos. If any support or guidance is needed please call Toby +44 (0) 7586 677652

  4. The girth needs to be tighter than you probably expect. The balance strap should be as tight as a belt. Please check regularly before and during the ride.

  5. If you have a seatbelt please use at your discretion.

  6. Please put the saddle on without a child for as long as it takes for your pony to get used to the natural sounds of the moving willow. It will make an unusual noise for the pony to begin with.

  7. It is important to maintain the saddle and its components to keep it in good working order.

  8. Finally, enjoy it while employing a healthy dollop of good old fashioned common sense, i.e. not at a fireworks party.
